The gesture, according to the command, is part of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the welfare of families of deceased personnel.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Bashir Usman, said the cheques were presented by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Umar M. Hadejia, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
Hadejia reaffirmed the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police and the Force Management Team to the welfare of officers and the families of personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
He noted that the service and contributions of the deceased officers to the nation remained deeply appreciated and would not be forgotten.
The commissioner added that the insurance benefits would provide meaningful support to the families of the deceased officers.

The beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of the Force’s continued care and support for families of its deceased personnel.
