ESDIAC Global Systems Limited, a Nigerian technology company, has secured a licence to operate in the country’s data market, paving the way for the expansion of its telecommunications and digital communication services.
The company disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Lokoja, saying the licence would enable it to provide cross-border data solutions, international connectivity, data top-ups and global eSIM services to Nigerian consumers and businesses.
Founded by Nigerian-born entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer, Austin Ugbebor, ESDIAC said it aims to make international communication more affordable and accessible to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.
Ugbebor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government for policies he said were designed to promote competition and drive growth in the country’s digital economy.
He said the company would use the licence to expand its operations, invest in local infrastructure, develop talent and extend affordable communication services to underserved communities.
According to him, ESDIAC currently operates in more than 150 countries and 400 cities worldwide, offering international calling services, global eSIMs and cross-border data solutions.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation through innovation, investment and inclusive connectivity.
