Akwa Ibom State-owned airline, Ibom Air, has appointed two executive directors as part of efforts to reposition the company for its next phase of growth. The new appointees are Mfon Udomah, who will oversee Finance, and Dr Eno Udoma-Eniang, appointed Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs.
The airline’s Group Manager, Marketing and Communication, Aniekan Essienette, announced the appointments in a statement, adding that both executives would resume duties immediately, subject to ratification by the board at the company’s Annual General Meeting in November 2026.
Udomah, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, brings more than 30 years of experience across the private and public sectors to his new role.
Udoma-Eniang, a legal practitioner, also has over three decades of corporate experience spanning telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, financial services and emerging technology.
Alongside the appointments, the airline’s board announced the retirement of Akwa Ibom State Attorney General, Uko Udom, SAN, from its membership after five years of service.
Udom, a legal practitioner with more than 40 years of experience in aviation law, was commended by the board for his contributions to the airline.
“The board appreciates Mr Udom’s immense contributions as a Board member and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” the statement said.
The appointments and board change come as Ibom Air seeks to strengthen its leadership across key financial, legal and corporate functions.
