The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) has rescheduled its National Summit and Exhibition on the Orange Economy from October to December 2026, citing the need to strengthen the programme and broaden stakeholder participation.
The summit, organised by NIPSS in collaboration with Bruit Costaud Government Affairs Et Al Limited, was initially scheduled to hold from October 6 to 8 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Theatre, in Lagos.
It will now take place from December 7 to 9, 2026, at the Admiralty Event Centre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The organisers announced the change in a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday, saying the additional time would enable them to improve the programme, expand participation and maximise the summit’s expected impact.
Summit to Spotlight Nigeria’s Creative Economy
The three-day event is expected to bring together policymakers, investors, creative and cultural industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, development partners and other stakeholders to examine the opportunities and challenges confronting Nigeria’s Orange Economy.
The summit will focus on how Nigeria can better harness its creative and cultural assets to drive economic diversification, create jobs, attract investment, stimulate innovation and promote sustainable development.
According to the organisers, the rescheduled event is expected to provide a platform for a broader national conversation on the economic potential of Nigeria’s creative and cultural industries.
Organisers Apologise for Date, Venue Change
The organisers expressed appreciation to partners, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media organisations and registered participants for their support and enthusiasm for the summit.
They also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change in date and venue, while appealing for continued support and participation.
“We sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm and support demonstrated by our partners, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media organisations and registered participants.
“While we regret any inconvenience caused by the change in timing and location, we look forward to the continued support and active participation of all stakeholders,” they said.
The organisers said the new date would allow the summit to deliver a more impactful programme and showcase the growing contribution of the creative economy to Nigeria’s development.
“We look forward to welcoming all participants, partners and stakeholders to the Admiralty Event Centre, Lagos, from December 7–9, 2026, for a robust national conversation and a compelling showcase of Nigeria’s vibrant Orange Economy,” they said.
