A political group, Taraba Tiv Youth Grassroots Mobilization for APGA, has endorsed Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 Taraba State governorship election.
The group also declared its support for candidates contesting various elective positions in the state on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
In a statement issued Sunday in Jalingo by the group’s Coordinator, Comr. Muyee Mulega Ioreren, and read by Comr. Ephraim Tordue Kumaga, the organisation said the endorsement followed consultations with Tiv communities across the 16 local government areas of the state.
Ioreren said the decision was based on Shiddi’s leadership record, integrity, grassroots connection and commitment to youth development and inclusive governance.
He said: “Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi is a leader with capacity, integrity, and a proven commitment to inclusive governance and youth development.
“We are committed to working tirelessly across all wards and voting units to mobilise massive grassroots support and votes for Danji SS and all APGA candidates come 2027.”
The group expressed optimism that Tiv youths and rural communities across Taraba would actively participate in the 2027 electoral process and support what it described as a responsive and people-oriented administration.
It said its mobilisation efforts would extend across Tiv communities in the state ahead of the elections
