The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s Independence anniversary address, describing it as rich in rhetoric but lacking substance.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, who stated this Thursday said Nigerians did not need assurances about the effectiveness of the administration’s reforms, insisting that their impact should be evident in citizens’ living conditions.
“The president’s speech is very rich in platitudes but lacking in substance. We don’t need to be told if and when the so-called reforms are working.
“We will feel it and see it in the living condition of the people. Compare the president’s speech to that of the presidential candidate of the NDC, Peter Obi, and then you will know the difference,” he said.
