Apothecary Africa Limited and the Society for Family Health (SFH) have taken a maternal health awareness campaign to Isheri-Olofin, Lagos, to promote preventive healthcare and improve access to reliable health information among women and families.

The campaign, held yesterday, was led by Pharmacist Grace George of Apothecary Africa Limited, an Alimosho-based healthcare and wellness company, as part of efforts to bring essential health education and professional guidance closer to residents.

The initiative focused on raising awareness about preventive healthcare practices, encouraging women and families to seek reliable health information and highlighting the importance of accessing professional healthcare services. “For us, healthcare begins with education, prevention, professional guidance and access to safe and effective medications,” she said.

She explained that the partnership with SFH reflected the company’s commitment to supporting community health and becoming a trusted healthcare partner to individuals and families.

George said the initiative was part of efforts to extend healthcare education beyond the pharmacy counter and empower community members with information that could help them make informed health decisions.

The collaboration also highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing public health education and strengthening healthcare delivery at the community level.

Apothecary Africa Limited, which operates in Alimosho, Lagos, provides pharmaceutical services, medications, health education and wellness support, with a focus on accessibility and patient-centred care.

The company said the maternal health campaign represented another step towards its vision of building healthier communities through prevention, education and compassionate healthcare services.
